She nodded and let him open the door for her, then stepped inside the restaurant. Once inside the hostess showed them to a cozy table for two near the window. It was the table Jane always sat at when she ate there, but she was usually alone. She liked people watching and it had a great view.

"I have to admit that I don't know much of the city outside of this area. I grew up in a small town and New York intimidates me. I know within a five block radius of my apartment and the university and that's it."
