Jane's eyes grow wide and her jaw drops open at the sight of the boy in front of her. Kurt, he'd said his name was. He was unlike any person she'd ever seen before, except for maybe in a movie. Even as strange as he looked, she found him oddly beautiful. Rays of sunshine began cutting through the trees, illuminating him from behind like some kind of strange blue angel. She was immediately curious as to how he had come to be so unique. She had enough tact, though, not to just start blurting out questions.

"Wow, thanks for getting here so fast." She held out her hand. "I'm Jane. It's nice to meet you, Kurt."
