Arrival in Luceti

[Action/Written - Open]

One moment Jane is sitting at the kitchen table sipping her coffee and leafing through her notebook, and the next she's standing in the middle of a forest clearing. Instead of her flannel pajamas she is clad in a simple white dress and her feet are bare.  Her notebook, the summary of her life's work, is nowhere to be seen. At her feet, though, is a notebook-looking thing with her name on the front. She picks it up and opens it, then sits down where she is to read.

Later, still in the woods but feeling more acclimated to where she is and the new wings on her back, she decides to give the communications function a try. She writes a short message that reads

"Hello, my name is Jane Foster, and I've just arrived. I am in the forest and I can't tell which direction to go to get out. Could someone help me out? Thanks!"

You got it. It might be spring, but it is still way too cold to be wandering around in just the New Feather clothing. [Although by comparison, the guys get it much worse. Only being provided with a pair of thin pants.

Steve leaves his apartment at a brisk pace, needing to stop by the clothing shop before going to meet her. He's not able to run quite as fast in Peggy's body as he's used to, but she's no slouch when it comes to physical fitness.

Once he's grabbed the proper shoes and pants he's hurrying over to the edge of town where most new comers arrive. Jane would see a brunette woman hurrying forward with a pair of shoes and pants clutched to her chest.]

[She honestly doesn't look any worse for wear than any other new comer. By now Steve hardly notices. Once he's close enough he hands off the clothes to her.]

You're welcome. [Ah. Here's the tricky part. Does he tell her the truth before he explains the crazy ins and outs of this place or does he wait? It would probably be better to start small.]

Um...Peggy. Peggy Carter.

[He smiles and nods.] It's nice to meet you, Jane. [Again. But the fact that she's been here before is another one of those things Steve doesn't want to let slip too soon.]

No, they're pretty useless. But don't mess with them or try to pull them off. It'll kill you. [Yeah, way to ease her in there.]

Well, I'm sure you have a lot of questions. Why don't start heading for the village while I try to answer them?

I suppose that depends on whether the Malnosso would find your work threatening in some way. If not, then you probably can. As long as if doesn't involve leaving the village, you're free to do what you want.

Not off-hand, no. But you could probably ask around. I'm sure someone in the village probably has one they would be willing to let you borrow if nothing else.

Well, I don't know an exact number. But there are well over a hundred people living here.
