It was the last place Jane had expected to run into Thor.  She wasn't sure what had made her send him those hearts. After waiting for so long the only explanation possible was that her patience had simply run out.  He had promised to come back for her, yet he hadn't. She thought she had feelings for him, but her logical side kept telling her that she had only known him for a day and a half, there was no possible way she could know him well enough to fall for him that quickly.  Her heart and her brain were still at war when he arrived.

She opened the door to her New York apartment and ushered him in. The shoebox of a place seemed even smaller with him in it.  "So... hi."

"Aye," Thor said brightly, trying to peer at several young children as they clustered around an exhibit. His eyes lifted to look beyond the fence and walls and spotted penguins floating in the water, zipping around one another. His brows lifted as he moved closer, eyes narrowing. "Are these birds that fly in water?" he asked, waiting until a child moved to lean over the wall and study them. "They have bills and wings but no feathers!"

To Thor, who had never seen such things, it was absolutely fascinating. He could hear them talk of fish-fish-fish as the man feeding them came around, how they swallowed the fish whole with several gulps and tilting their head backs. "The artic is similar to Jotun-heim in climate, then? A land of ice and snow and cold." Thor looked back to Jane, one brow up questioningly. "These are very small creatures for such a place." Used to a far larger fair.

THESE were creatures he had seen before, he was sure, though on a much larger level! His brows furrowed and he looked out to the white bears. "These creatures exist in Jotunheim!" He declared, perhaps a touch louder than necessary, as he leaned forward. "Are these only cubs, though?"

Only a few people are staring...

Thor looked to her, and his excitement softened. "But these are far smaller than those I've seen before. Are they the same beast?" Thankfully, his voice softened as well. "It is excellent than they have such defenses against these, as they are fierce predators."

He seemed proud to know more about these than the feathered-water-birds.

Thor's brows came together at her words, and he immediately looked with concern out to the creatures where they laid, relaxing in the shade. Jane, good luck with him as he leaned forward and called out, "beasts of the ice! Do you suffer here?"

Or how the polar bears all looked over at Thor at the same time, and one even stepped forward and gave an odd grunting sound.

Thor nodded, as if he understood. "Your breathern suffer, however."

Thor's brows came together at Jane's reaction to his speaking with the beasts. Why did she sound upset? He had done nothing the matter, or so he believed. "I am speaking to them," he said matter of factly."I wished to know if they were being properly taken care of in this... large cage."
